This year’s theme, “We the People: Creating a Community of Change,” symbolizes the empowerment of people and grassroots movements that ultimately create change. As a vital component of the Asian Pacific American community, AASU works to build coalitions within its pan-ethnic community and the campus at large. This year’s theme, along with the month’s events, aim to educate the campus community about the history and issues of Asian Pacific Americans to inspire the formation of a stronger and more unified community.

AASU E-board Elections!!
*Are you interested in serving and representing the APA community at the University of Maryland?
*Want to make sure the community is in good hands next year?
Then, run for a position on the AASU Executive Board! This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the APA community, and make a difference on our entire campus! The 2009-2010 AASU Executive Board application is posted on our blog. Applications will be due on Friday April 17 at midnight and elections will be held on Wednesday April 29.
If you are interested in running, come by for an informational meeting with the current executive board on Tuesday, April 14 at 5pm or Wednesday, April 15 at 6pm in the Multicultural Involvement & Community Advocacy Office (1120 Stamp).
